Hi! I’m Lanya.

(Pronounced Lawn-Yuh)

I am a artist + graphic designer located in Chandler, Arizona. I am from Kurdistan which is located in Northern Iraq. I moved here when I was 2 months old and I've been here ever since!

I graduated from Arizona State University in 2017 with a BA in Art History and Anthropology. My post college plan was to be an Art Curator; I even interned at some well known art galleries and worked on exhibitions throughout the valley.

At the same time as some of my internships, I began to work at a local clothing boutique where I was able to help with their Instagram— I assisted the owner in developing content, styling photoshoots and even created some graphics for their social media. I enjoyed this so much that I decided to pursue graphic design and branding, where my two passions could collide.

I have now been doing graphic design professionally for a total of 3 years, and still enjoy painting & drawing whenever I have the opportunity. I love all things artistic and creative, and I’m always up for a new challenge or project~
